My Family And Other Animals explores the fragility of the built environment and it’s coexistence with nature – both in harmony and conflict.
The city provides us with shelter; it is a space we dwell in, a place where we enact our daily lives. Increasingly, the sanctuary of human shelter is becoming more tenuous through dramatic changes in climate. In nature, nests and other animal shelters offer security subject to the changing conditions of their environment. What can we learn from them?
