Boxcopy: Contemporary Art Space is a Brisbane based artist-run-organisation which aims to engage with experimental and innovative artistic practice and support young and emerging artists. During 2007, the first year of its operation, Boxcopy has built a reputation for delivering a program that encourages critical engagement with art involving a diverse range of mediums, ideas and approaches to art practice.

Boxcopy assists with and curates solo and group exhibitions that challenge and excite visitors. Participating artists benefit not only from the opportunity to exhibit their work but also from the dialogue that arises between them and their peers, writers and curators, often generating more exhibiting opportunities and developments in their practice.

For 2008, Boxcopy will continue to provide Brisbane artists with a space and the opportunity to develop and refine their art. Boxcopy will also aim to engage with Australia’s broader arts community through exchange and dialogue to further assist Brisbane artists and art workers.

Boxcopy operates on a Not-For-Profit basis and is free for artists. The founding committee consists of six fine arts graduates - Channon Goodwin, Tim Woodward, Joseph Breikers, Marianne Templeton, Anita Holtsclaw and Daniel McKewen. At present, Boxcopy is entirely self-funding by the founding committee.
